According to the firm, it plans to use its Nigeria branch to launch shops in other parts of the African continent.

Engr. Elens Eigbokhan, chairman of Mansales Limited, said that the Nigerian market has long been "ripped off through the breach of promise characterized by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) not keeping to their promises," the report said.

Eigbokhan was speaking at the launch of the firm's new set of mobile phones, including Konka W550.

The Mansales executive also remarked that its search for a reputable firm that could help them fill the gap between costumers and quality mobile phones led to their partnership with China's Konka.

Eigbokhan is optimistic that Konka will be able to offer high-quality gadgets and efficient after-sales service to Nigerians, highlighting the gadgets' quality components that enhance user experience.

Meanwhile, Francis Osara, Konka Mobile's exclusive agent in Nigeria, firmly assured that Konka mobile phones are durable and of quality. He added that the firm has also hired well-trained service engineers to render repairs and other after-sales services.

Evangelous Hsieh, sales manager of Konka, additionally emphasized that the Chinese firm has taken its time to make a foray into the African market, citing Nigeria as the largest.

Hsieh further stressed that Konka vows to bring nothing but mobile devices that have been tried and tested in other parts of the globe.

Konka Group, first established in 1980, is China's first Sino-foreign joint venture on consumer electronics and enterprise manufacturing and distribution. The group's revenue runs to over $4 billion. It is capable of manufacturing 24 million units annually.
