The new character is set to explain the training of Jane and the mystery behind Orion, according to Entertainment Weekly. In "Blindspot" Season 1 episode 3 titled "Eight Slim Grins," Casey Robek (Michael Rogers) tried to let Jane know that he knew her but his brother Travis Robek (Adam David Thompson) abducted him.

Travis chose to be killed rather than be arrested and before he died, Casey whispered the word "Orion" to Jane.

In "Blindspot" Season 1 episode 10 titled "Evil Handmade Instrument," Jane ditched her FBI handlers played by Kelly P. Williams, CJ Parson and Kelly Aaron. Outside his apartment, Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) was kissed by Jane before she took off.

Thomas Carter (Michael Gaston) then kidnapped Jane and forced her to give information through waterboarding. This made Jane remember that she had met him before as he mentioned the word "Orion."

It was confirmed on Nov. 9, 2015 that "Blindspot" Season 2 is happening. Meanwhile, Alexander was spotted on the set of the NBC show in New York on Jan. 18 wearing heavy leather boots and a bulletproof vest while wielding a gun, Daily Mail reported.
