The winner of “The Bachelor 2016” may have just been revealed. Fan favorite Lauren Bushnell was recently spotted wearing an engagement ring, which caused many fans to believe that she was the one who got the final rose from Ben Higgins.

According to Reality Steve, Higgins ended up choosing between Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher. Caila Quinn was part of the final three but ended her journey after her overnight date with Higgins in Jamaica.

The outlet reported that Higgins chose Bushnell over Fletcher. Although "The Bachelor" finale does not air until March 15, it seems like Bushnell could not wait to show the fans that she won Higgins' heart. The reality star was seen wearing what looks like an engagement ring on her left finger.

According to Inquisitr, the photo, however, was taken back in September, months before Higgins even made his final decision. Bushnell has yet to confirm or deny the engagement rumors. Given that the contestants signed a non-disclosure agreement with ABC, it did not come as a surprise that Bushnell decided to keep mum on the issue.

The outlet speculated that it was nothing but a coincidence, adding that it may not be an engagement ring after all. Fans of "The Bachelor" 2016, however, were allegedly unhappy with Bushnell flaunting the ring.

"Many are taking this as a sign that Lauren Bushnell is nothing but 'fame-hungry.' She isn't breaking any of ABC's rules, so to speak, but she is tip-toeing a fine line in trying to let things be known without actually saying or showing them."

To be fair, it was not Bushnell who posted the photo. Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that it was actually a friend of hers who started all this controversy. It was, however, pointed out that it may just well be a strategy for Bushnell to stake her clime on Higgins.

The outlet recounted that this is not the first time that the winner was revealed way ahead of "The Bachelor" finale. Some reportedly felt jealous seeing their fiancé flirting with several women on national television and start to be possessive.

"The Bachelor" 2016 airs Monday on ABC.
