Although Shanghai Disney Resort would open on June 16, 2016, as early as March 28, tickets would start to be sold. For the grand opening, ticket price is 499 yuan or $75.

Disney pointed out that the regular one-day ticket price of 370 yuan, the entrance fee for Shanghai Disney Resort is the lowest among 12 Disney parks and six resorts across the world, reported China Daily. In comparison, Disney Hong Kong’s entrance fee is 539 yuan, while in Tokyo, it is the equivalent of 374 yuan. For the two Disney parks in Los Angeles, California, the entrance fee is almost double at $139.

Ahead of the opening, some Chinese youth are reported to be saving at least 2,000 yuan for the entrance fee, food and accommodation, and souvenirs. Meanwhile, retailers interested in acquiring retail space near Shanghai Disney Resort are finding it hard because rental fees had spiraled in the past few months in anticipation of the resort’s opening.

Disney reminded ticket-buyers that the entrance fee they paid for is for a specific and could not be used on other dates. The resort would have a 25 percent discount on ticket prices for visitors 65 years old and above, children who measure 1.4 meters or below and people with disabilities. Babies who are 1 meter or smaller are free. But during peak dates, such as recognized holiday, summer holiday and weekends, entrance fee is 499 yuan.

The park offers different attractions and rides such as the Adventure Isle, Garden of Imagination, Treasure Cove and Sunken Treasure. Its Fantasyland has an Alice in Wonderland Maze and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, reported The South China Morning Post.
