Sony has manufactured its flagship smartphone - the Xperia Z5 - last year, which has had people take interest in these products. It is not also surprising if it comes up with a new device line-up such as the Xperia Z6. Although Sony has focused on making Xperia Z6, it may not be out just in time for the MWC 2016.
As posted in Pocket Lint, it reports that the Xperia Z6 will definitely not make an appearance in Sony's press event during the MWC 2016 on Feb. 22. It is an assumption based on the reality that Sony had just released the Xperia Z5 in September 2015, and it is more unlikely that Sony had not even started out innovating its next flagship device. However, it is also true that rumours or speculations about the Xperia Z6 are circling around. In fact, a number of publications are hinting that Sony is already working on it and will come up with five models to be released really soon.
Furthermore, it is leaked that Sony will try to copy the iPhone line-up and apply a Force Touch display to the Xperia Z6. However, there are still no news about what to expect with Xperia Z6 flagship from Sony. People will just have to depend on speculations or rumours to know more about the handset.
When Sony was invited to the Mobile World Congress 2016, consumers were anticipating to get more details about its upcoming smartphones; however, industry specialists have even failed to do so. This has left many avid consumers speculating that the company will try to release new flagship line-ups by September, just like what it did last year.
As of now, Sony is centred on fleshing out the Xperia Z5 flagship, which it initiated recently its rose gold variant with Snapdragon Qualcomm chipset and 3GB of RAM. More essentially, its pink variant aided the success of its existing lineup of the Xperia Z5, which also come in colors green, white, chrome and black.
Finally, The Xperia C6, another Sony flagship, is anticipated to be launched during the MWC, with leaks coming out just recently.
