"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton, 38, claimed that he is the Justin Bieber of country music during the Jan. 24 episode of "Saturday Night Live," where he served as both the host and the musical guest.
In his opening monologue in the live broadcast, Shelton said, "Yes, officer, I have been drinking. For those of you that don't know my work I am kinda like the Justin Bieber of country music - just a trouble-making cutie."
An Oklahoma native, Shelton said he does feel like "a fish out of water here in New York City as everything is so fancy."
Shelton is set to return as a judge in "The Voice" Season 8 with "Happy" hitmaker Pharrell Williams, returning coach Christina Aguilera and "Begin Again" star Adam Levine.
On May 3, 2014, Levine revealed his brand new bleached blonde hair, which made Shelton say, "Both my wives are blonde now!" on "The Voice" Season 7 referring to Miranda Lambert and his bromance partner.
As a joke, Shelton said that he looked like Meg Ryan.
"Wait, that's Adam? I thought Meg Ryan was sitting with us tonight." Shelton said. He also compared 35-year-old frontman of the band Maroon 5 to "Wrecking Ball" hit maker Miley Cyrus.
On May 6, 2014, Levine fights back saying if Shelton bleached his hair, he would look like Kenny Rogers.
Since Shelton seemed happy about the comparison, Levine asked him who he thought he would look like if he was blonde. He then quickly said it he would look like Hulk Hogan.
