The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China released on Saturday its new official march titled “March of the Rocket Force.” The stars of the 2-minute, 49-second video are Dongfeng ballistic missiles.

Besides the missiles, China’s other weapons are seen in the video, released on Saturday on js7tv.cn, a website linked with China’s military, reported Global Times.

Actually, the song was released in January after Beijing launched the PLA Rocket Force on the last day of 2015. The launch is part of Chinas military reform program that places the force on equal footing with the Chinese Air Force, Navy and Army.

Toward the end of the video, Chinese President Xi Jinping called the PLA Rocket Force the “core force of strategic deterrence, a strategic buttress to the country’s position as a major power, and an important building block in upholding national security.”

Designed to carry nuclear warheads, the Dongfeng 5-B missile was seen during the military parade in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square to mark seven decades of the end of World War II in September 2015 and China’s War of Resistance against Japanese forces.

A CCTV video report said that China’s Dongfeng 31A transcontinental ballistic missile have undergone field training in extremely cold weather conditions. The training aimed to adapt the weapons to the most complicated and difficult war conditions.

The training achieved two major breakthroughs, according to Du Wenlong from the PLA Academy of Military Science. It was done in the field rather than in a training camp. The field was in a remote location to test support capability in extreme conditions.

Du said the training was a big test for the troops if the equipment and personnel of the PLA Rocket Force could perform normal work, war preparedness and training in extreme conditions, reported Defenseworld.net.
