New "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" details will feature a rumored actor playing Robin and Dan Amboyer teased Green Lantern's appearance in the film.
Several rumors are making rounds that "Kingsman: The Secret Service" star Taron Egerton will play Batman's (Ben Affleck) deceased partner Robin in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice". The rumors came out in a tweet by Twitter username The Daily Planet stating that Egerton is the "favorite" to play Jason Todd in the DC Extended Universe, CosmicBookNews reported.
Fan speculated that the deceased Robin could be Jason Todd as the film's trailer and images revealed that the second Boy Wonder was killed at the hands of the Joker (Jared Leto). leading Bruce Wayne to give up his vigilante alter-ego prior to the events of the film.
It was reported that Jason Todd will be featured in the new Batman solo film in the DCEU and will taking the mantle of Red Hood in the movie. Director Zack Snyder's son Eli Snyder was once rumored to play the Robin in the film, albeit in flashback scenes.
In other news, "Younger" TV series star Amboyer teased his rumored appearance "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" as he told PopSugar about several behind-the-scenes physical elements surrounding his character in the film.
Amboyer teased that the experience felt that he was in "another planet" perhaps speaking figuratively leading the speculation that it is another planet outside of earh in the DCEU. Amboyer added that he will be appearing in a military uniform, but did not press any further details about who he is in the film.
The military uniform might hint that Amboyer will indeed play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" as Hal was a fighter pilot from the United States Air Force in the comics. Amboyer further revealed clues on the Green Lantern's when he told PopSugar that his favorite color is green.
Other Justice League members such as The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) are being hinted in "Batman V Superman", as well Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy playing Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle and Jimmy Olsen.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be release in cinemas on March 25.
