Here is the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update status for HTC One M9 and HTC One M8 on US carriers.

According to latest reports, users of One M9 under the Verizon and T-Mobile networks will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on February 16, 2016.

Users of HTC One M9 that are subscribed to Verizon and T-Mobile are set to get the new Marshmallow update. Mo Versi, product manager of HTC, has said that users of the aforementioned devices will get the update on February 16.

AT&T subscribers who have One M9 device were supposed to get the new firmware; however, HTC experienced some technical problems. The tech firm decided to postpone the Marshmallow update to improve its features.

Furthermore, the mobile carrier Sprint is rolling out Android Marshmallow to their One M9. Reports suggest that the Marshmallow update may take some time; however, the company is rolling it now through an OTA update to firmware version 3.41.651.3.

For One M9 users from Canada, companies such as Wind Mobile, Videotron, Rogers and Sasktel rolled out Android Marshmallow to their subscribers.

Several reports suggest that the HTC One M8 received the Android Marshmallow update first before HTC One M9. In January, the Taiwanese company rolled out the firmware to the device in the Hong Kong and United Kingdom.

Rumors are doing the rounds that the Android Marshmallow update will roll out to other devices elsewhere in the world pretty soon.

The new update will roll out in phases, therefore, owners will need to wait for some days before they receive notification. Owners should check their handsets if it is available for update. They should go to Settings> About Phone> System Update.

Meanwhile, the upcoming HTC One M10 will have a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, CNET reported.

The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and has 4GB of RAM. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Also, the tech giant Samsung has announced that it is starting the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to their Galaxy devices. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 are the first two devices to be updated, according to The Verge.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which was announced last May, brings features such as Now on Tap that allow owners search for information on restaurants, films and more. Moreover, the operating system comes with app permissions and a new layout.
