Current league leaders and defending champions FC Bayern Munich (18-1-2, 56 points) are scheduled to face newly-promoted club SV Darmstadt 98 (6-9-6, 24 points) in a 2015-2016 Bundesliga game to be held at the Allianz Arena this Saturday, Feb. 20th.

Bayern Munich is still the runaway first place team in the current season and is eight points clear of second-running Borussia Dortmund, who has 48 points, in the German top flight's standings.

Pep Guardiola's side, amidst news that the manager will move to the English Premier League's Manchester City in the summer, has not lost step, except for a goalless draw against Bayer Leverkusen on Feb. 6th.

Their most recent game was a 3-1 rout of lowly squad FC Augsburg on the road at the SGL Arena on Sunday, as reported by Goal.

Striker Robert Lewandowski put the visitors ahead, 2-0, with a double in the first 62 minutes of the match before teammate Thomas Müller added another one at the 78th to make it a 3-0 advantage.

Augsburg's Paraguayan striker Raúl Bobadilla netted a consolation goal four minutes before full time to put the Fuggerstädter on the board and avoid a shutout.

Meanwhile, Darmstadt is presently struggling to string consecutive wins as the team lost in four of its last six outings. Their last four games had been alternating wins and losses, which is not a good indication for head coach Dirk Schuster.

Die Lilien lost a tough 1-2 match against one of the top contenders, Bayer Leverkusen, at their home field of Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor last Saturday, as per ESPN.

Darmstadt striker Sandro Wagner actually opened the scoring at the 28th to put the hosts in the driver seat early in the match until the halftime break.

However, an own goal from team captain Aytac Sulu two minutes after the hour mark levelled the game at 1-1 to take away the fight out of the Lilies.

Bayer took advantage of the momentum shift as midfielder Julian Brandt right-footed a close range shot at the 77th to win the contest and deny Darmstadt the three points in the league table.

The predicted result is a 2-0 walkover for Bayern Munich.
