Sony Xperia Z6 is rumored to release at the IFA 2016. It may also be packed with the latest Sony 22.5 MP camera sensor and a built-in 3 axis stabilization AF system.

Sony had recently announced this new camera sensor with 1-2.6-inch layered CMOS, high-speed hybrid autofocus and 1.12μm unit pixel size, according to Xperia Blog. However, Sony has not confirmed whether they will use this sensor in the Xperia Z6 or not.

It was earlier rumored that the upcoming Sony flagship device will be unveiled at the Mobile World Conference this month. However, the South Korean tech giant will instead be launching the smartphone in Berlin in September.

Experts believe that since the earlier Xperia Z series devices were launched at the IFA events, the Xperia Z6 will be no different. Additionally, the unlocked versions of the current Sony flagship device, the Xperia Z5, was only recently released in North America. This makes it all the more evident that the launch of Xperia Z6 will not take place this month.

Meanwhile, design-wise, the upcoming smartphone will be building a new standard altogether for the company. The device is expected to come in a much sleeker frame and completely ditch the standard block design, which is seen in the Xperia Z series smartphones. It will also be more streamlined and sport a complete glass and metal frame, according to Android Authority. The feature of water resistance is expected to be continued in this flagship as well.

Regarding the specs, the Sony Xperia Z6 is strongly expected to be armed with the latest Snapdragon 820 processor, full HD display, dual camera setup along with a RAM of at least 3GB. On the other hand, it is also rumored that the Xperia Z6 may instead pack a RAM of 6GB. Like the Xperia Z5, the upcoming smartphone is also expected to include the 4K resolution feature.

The device is also expected to come with Android Marshmallow out of the box.
