Ron Meyer, vice-chairman of NBC Universal, said in an interview with MSN that Walker as a character would not be returning for "Fast and Furious 8" movie, but he will be represented in one or the other. Success of "Fast and Furious 7" is credited to the CGI equipped Walker's character and brother Cody Walker, who performed few of the shots for Brian O' Connor to complete the film.

Vin Diesel, who plays the character of Dom Toretto, had also revealed in his previous interviews that "Fast and Furious 8" will be from Walker. There also have been rumors that the character of Mia Toretto, which was played by actress Jordana Brewster, may be coming back for this sequel. She was also Brian's love interest in the movie series. Since Brian is no longer in the sequel as a character, her life in the upcoming movie is said to be revolving around his memories.

Apart from this, there have also been speculations that the next villain will be played by a female lead. Actress Charlize Theron is also rumoured to join action adventure family team. She is in talks for the role and the entire cast is very eager to have her as a part of the movie.

"Fast and Furious" eighth instalment is set to be shot in locations like Iceland, New York City, and Cuba. Director F. Gary has worked with Theron before in "The Italian Job" movie and is said to happy to have her onboard with them for "Fast and Furious 8."

Meanwhile, Chris Morgan who has written five out of the seven installments is likely to return for this sequel as well, ScreenRant reported. The eighth installment of the popular franchise seems to have many of the returning characters and is set to open in theatres on April 17, 2017.
