"Wolverine 3" is the last and final sequel of the X-Men iconic superhero, as actor Hugh Jackman announced his retirement from portraying the role, while the latest X-Men hero that has set the recent box office record "Deadpool" is already planning a movie sequel - "Deadpool 2" - that may include Wolverine in their cast of characters.

Deadpool was seen in the first Wolverine solo movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" way back 2009, and moviegoers are anxious if Jackman will appear in "Deadpool's" sequel to return the favor of Reynold's appearing in his debut solo movie as Wolverine.

"Deadpool 2's" writers and producers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are not giving up on convincing Jackman to be included on the sequel's cast. Wernick even stated that they respect Jackman's announcement to sign off after "Wolverine 3"; however, they would love to see Deadpool going neck and neck with Wolverine. "What I would say is we've broken all the rules, so there are no rules that we're unafraid to break, and so, you never know," Wernick was quoted as saying.

On the other hand, Reynolds, the actor portraying as Deadpool and is currently promoting his latest project "Woman in Gold," was asked about the rumored Wolverine participation in "Deadpool 2." He seem to be welcoming the plan and even commented, "God I hope so, that would really be nice. I dunno, we'll see. It seems like he's open (Hugh Jackman) to it, but it's gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else." This statement that Reynolds uttered gave film enthusiasts a hint that Wolverine could possibly be appearing in "Deadpool's" sequel.

A slight influx of who Deadpool is, he is a mutant that underwent surgical experiment which made him accelerate his healing ability. He is known as a katana-swinging, ill-bred being who is running after the people who did the experiment to him. "Deadpool's" supporting casts include Ed Skrein as Ajax, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust and whole lot more, Cinema Blend reported.

Meanwhile, Jackman sounded like he will be seen in a cameo role, still as Wolverine, in the upcoming "X-Men Apocalypse" movie. With that cliffhanger, Deadpool still has a chance in having Wolverine come out in a cameo appearance in "Deadpool 2."
