HTC and Oculus are ready to explore their new Virtual Reality (VR) headsets. By the end of May, the two gamers' equipment HTC Vive and Oculus Rift will be out in the market. HTC has announced the price and the pre-ordering has begun. While Oculus and HTC are widely acclaimed, they have a vast difference in terms of system requirements, price, etc.

They differ vastly in design, while HTC RAM requirement is very less compared to Oculus. The RAM usage is a great variation of 4GB to 8GB but both the VR headsets will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or greater video card. Oculus only supports Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater processor while HTC Vive has not officially published its system requirements yet, but being a PC connected device, it will not differ much from Oculus.

Both headsets come with Inter-pupillary distance adjusters, but the slider in Oculus Rift can make huge difference in clarity, resolution and focus when compared to the less obvious Vive. In addition to this, the Rift also sports internal tracking sensors and haptic feedback that allows the controls to function in a more sophisticated way.

Vive, on the other hand, has a touch sensitive circle and trigger buttons that are used for primary select options. Also, they have a sleek and smooth finish alongside the texture buttons and grip pads. HTC Vive also comes with a front facing camera that allows the user to interact with reality, without having to take off the headset.

Oculus will be publishing some gaming applications like "Edge of Nowhere," "The Climb," "Rock Band VR" (a music franchise) while HTC's Vive HMD will be shipped with Fantastic Contraption and Job Simulator. The Rift will cost around US$600 and the pre-orders are high on the go. The Vive, on the other hand, is expected to cost more, due to production cost of its movement sensors, which is estimated to be US$799.

Ultimately both headsets will hit the markets soon and HTC Vive is expected to be more unique than Oculus Rift.
