Reports claim that Nintendo will showcase its NX console at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 this coming summer, with an official launch either October or November. The much awaited console is said to come along with "Legend of Zelda," which will also be released on Wii U console.
Previous reports claim that Nintendo NX concept will be revealed during the first half of 2016 - sometime between March and May - and will follow a full console unveiling come June. In addition to this, the said Nintendo console will be fully launched by either October or November; however, fresh rumors suggest that Nintendo will launch its much anticipated NX console by Dec. 25.
Meanwhile, Nintendo NX 2016 release confirmation was backed by an information leak last week. It is said that the leakster has a proven track of accurate leaks, considering his previous predictions about "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon."
If the rumor mills are to be believed regarding the console's release window, it is said that this NX release move by Nintendo would be pretty much risky, as this year's focus would be towards Virtual Reality devices and VR games. With the impending release of HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Sony PlayStation VR, numerous research firm questions how will Nintendo divert consumers attention to their upcoming NX console.
However, it should be noted that gamers are also looking for certain points such as gameplay experience, console's price and the quality of games the consoles are offering. With that said, since Nintendo is a credible name in the gaming industry, there will always be gamers who will end up buying and using Nintendo NX console rather than going for VR binge.
On other news, new rumors surfaced that Nintendo NX console will be as powerful as Microsoft's Xbox One. It is said that NX will have a similar hardware layout with that of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The upcoming Nintendo NX is said to also allow gamers to stream a game into any display whenever they want by equipping the console with an HDMI dongle. Rumors also suggests that the console will be compatible with tablets and smartphones, allowing gamers to connect NX with these devices using Bluetooth and will give them capability of also answering calls and texts.
Although there are number of speculations surrounding Nintendo NX's release, one thing is for sure - the console will never be the next version of Wii or Wii U, Nintendo's CEO Tatsumi Kimishima confirmed.
