Deceased Chinese singer Yao Beina's family have hinted that they are considering publicizing her unpublished works during the memorial services held for her on Jan. 20 in Shenzhen.
To commemorate her life, Yao Feng, her father, spoke of her works including songs she had recorded in June 2014 as well as some unreleased tracks that have not been heard by the public.
According to Yao, who was formerly the chairman of the Shenzhen Association of Musicians, he and the rest of the songstress' family would "take some time" to organize all of his daughter's songs.
The singer, who was also known as Bella Yao, had recently made news after singing her pop Mandarin version of "Let It Go," the theme song of the hit Disney film "Frozen."
She was also the voice behind the same song, which she dubbed for the animated movie's Chinese version released in China.
Before "Frozen," Yao had become popular for her rendition of the soundtracks of the Chinese films "Painted Skin: The Resurrection" and "Back to 1942," as well as the hit TV drama "The Legend of Zhen Huan" or "Empresses in the Palace."
Two years ago, Yao had participated in "The Voice of China" as a contestant and had earned vast star appeal among the show's audience.
In 2011, the singer was diagnosed of breast cancer and went through mastectomy, chemotherapy and cosmetic treatments.
Though the procedures were successful, Yao experienced a recurrence of cancer in Dec. 2014 which had worsened by Jan. 2015.
On Jan. 16, she had finally succumbed to peace, leaving a death wish to donate her corneas to two separate recipients in Chengdu and Shenzhen.
