It has been confirmed that Ariadna Gutierrez is set to star in her first Hollywood film role. As she said after controversially finishing first runner-up in Miss Universe 2015, everything happens for a reason.

On March 2, Wednesday, the Colombian beauty queen took to Facebook to share a video of Vin Diesel being welcomed by fans in Dominican Republic where they are filming "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." In the caption, she wrote, "We love you VIN."

Before Diesel and Gutierrez posted on social media some photos of themselves on set, sources revealed to TMZ that the Colombian beauty queen has signed a deal to join the "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" cast. They added that she will play the love interest of Diesel's character and she flew to Dominican Republic to start filming.

On Feb. 29, Monday, Diesel was spotted in Dominican Republic, particularly in Navarrete, Santiago. Wearing full protective gear, he was seen riding a skateboard around the hills in the La Lomota village.

"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" is filming in not only in Pinewood Studios in Dominican Republic. Scenes will also be filmed in several other locations across the country, Dominican Today quoted production company Lantica Media as saying.

Gutierrez's role in the sequel to the 2000 film "xXx" has yet to be confirmed. Like, UFC star Conor McGregor is also playing his first Hollywood film role in the action sequel.

McGregor is not the only martial artist in the cast. Asian actors and martial artists Tony Jaa and Donnie Yen are also set to play characters Talon and Xiang, respectively.

Joining Diesel, McGregor, Jaa and Yen in the male cast are Samuel L. Jackson, Ice Buce, Kris Wu, Al Sapienza and Andrey Ivchenko. On the other hand, Gutierrez's fellow female cast members are Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Toni Collette, Deepika Padukone and Hermione Corfield.

In December 2015, Gutierrez made headlines when Steve Harvey wrongfully announced her as the Miss Universe 2015 winner instead of Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Watch a clip from Harvey's interview with the Colombian beauty queen here:
