Nintendo has teased some of the upcoming features of the "Legend of Zelda" Wii U, and it appears that some of them are inspired by "Twilight Princess HD."

The hints were conveyed through a video posted on Nintendo's YouTube channel with a focus on the "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Retrospective series." In last week's fourth episode, the game director Eiji Aonuma went ahead to spill a few clues for fans to decode.

Explicitly, Aonuma said that he is currently working on a new "Legend of Zelda" game, and one thing that he bears in mind is that his plans for the new "Zelda" game are linked to the ones he had, when he was creating the "Twilight Princess." He restricted his statement by saying that he would not talk about the specifics.

However, Aonuma further asserted that for him, "Twilight Princess" was a starting point and a fostering object which would aid him in the current project. His statement appeared to be quite unclear but based on his words, analysts say that it is likely that the new game will emulate some features from the "Twilight Princess" game.

A large portion of Nintendo's video clip focused on the new features of "Twilight Princess HD," such as the expanded use of the Wolf Link transformation, Amiibo functionality and the positioning of the Wii U Gamepad as a second screen menu. Of these three features, hearsays suggest that "The Legend of Zelda" may include updated representations of the mechanics, Game Spot reported

In reality, Wolf's significance to the Wii u games has been considered for a long time. When the "Twilight Princess HD" unveiling happened, Aonuma announced that with the next game of the franchise, players would have an option of controlling the Wolf Link Amiibo in a different way. This implied that the two games might end up having a linkage when it comes to this element.

The notion was broadened by the source video when the director confessed that it will be fun for players to look back when they play the new "Zelda" game, and compare the two. Generally, Amiibo and second-screen inventories have become important parts of Nintendo's marketing strategy, and so their inclusion in the upcoming Zelda game is a guarantee.

According to PC Advisor, the director also disclosed that the game will feature an open gaming universe. This means that a player will no longer get restricted to where they must go or which dungeons they must enter or exit.

Meanwhile, an unclear leaked trailer suggests that the new "Legend of Zelda" Wii U will come in March 2016.
