According to NSEA Voice, Capcom is set to launch "Resident Evil 7" early in 2017, but they will be announcing it during the 2016 E3. Furthermore, the company will seek to launch the first gameplay footage for the upcoming game before the announcement on the official premiere date of the game.

E3 will be a fascinating event as fans will catch a first glimpse of "Resident Evil 7." In addition, fans should expect to learn the new features that are coming into the game when the footage is released.

As reported previously, fans said that "Resident Evil 6" was somehow too focused on gunplay as opposed to increased tension and setting. However, other installments made the title popular among fans. As a result, there are speculations that the upcoming installment will return the game to the roots of horror rather than action.

Developers of "Resident Evil 7" have been listening to fans' feedback and they are ready to take up the challenge. Amid the increased speculations, the developer company remains tight lipped about details of the game.

The latest information came from Siliconera, which shared some of the answers of game producer Masachika Kawata during a Q&A forum for the 600th Dengeki PlayStation issue. With regard to "Resident Evil 7," the producer said they are "currently not at the state to talk about it" but added "please stay tuned."

Kawata was also asked concerning people's take on the series losing its horror touch, whereby he responded, "Since there's been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way. And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it."
