Verizon is currently leading the race ahead of AT&T and T-Mobile, as it has already rolled out the update for these devices. However, network carrier Sprint has not confirmed whether or not the Galaxy Note 5 model will get this update. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S6 is confirmed to get the Android Marshmallow update on the network carrier Sprint.

It is reported that the Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note 5 is full of issues, such as unreliable Wi-Fi and battery issues. Samsung is reported to launch a second version of the update in order to resolve these problems.

For users who want to check for the availability of the Android update for their device, they can either wait for the OTA notification or check the availability manually. The upgrade download notification will appear on the screen of the gadget when the OTA update is rolled but for a device.

Meanwhile, to check for it manually, users need to go to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check For Update. In case the device is ready to receive the update, the installation process will begin. Additionally, the update is approximately 940 MB in size, so the users are advised to use a strong and reliable Wi-Fi connection so that the update is installed without any hassles. They should also make sure that the battery in their device is charged to at least 50 percent.

Samsung is expected to make the Android Marshmallow update available for devices such as Galaxy A3, Galaxy A8, Galaxy E7, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy E5, Galaxy J5 along with Galaxy J2, according to GSM Arena.
