In "The Americans" Season 3, Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) disposed of a corpse in a very memorable way. They broke the bones and stuffed the body inside a small suitcase in the scene, which is considered the most gruesome in the FX period drama series so far.

Fans who are expecting to see more scenes like this in "The Americans" Season 4 will be disappointed. It appears that there is no plan to do elevate the level of violence in the series.

Showrunners Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields are not looking forward to match such a gruesome scene in Season 4, which premiered on March 16, Wednesday. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Weisberg said they "can't up" the violence.

"At least, we can't," Weisberg told the publication. "We've hit bottom, or reached our ceiling, whichever way you look at it."

Weisberg is still surprised that they were able to execute such a scene showing Philip and Elizabeth stuffing a corpse in a small suitcase. He said that right after they wrote the scene, there was a brief moment when Fields turned to him and said, "Well, we're going to hell."

Playing Philip and Elizabeth's son Henry and daughter Paige in the series are Keidrich Sellati and Holly Taylor, respectively. Other cast members are Lev Gorn as Arkady Zotov, Costa Ronin as Oleg Burov, Richard Thomas as Frank Gaad, Annet Mahendru as Nina Krilova, Susan Misner as Sandra Beeman and Alison Wright as Martha Hanson, among others.

Aside from playing a KGB agent in "The Americans," Russell is also set to star in "Free State of Jones" as Serena Knight. Scheduled to be released on June 24, the biographical drama film directed by Gary Ross also stars Matthew McConaughey, Mahersala Ali, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sean Bridgers, David Maldonado, Juan Gaspard, Kerry Cahill, Liza J. Benneth, Matt Lintz and Christopher Berry, among others.

In real life, Russell is pregnant with her first baby with Rhys. On March 14, Monday, the actress was spotted in New York City wearing a casual maternity and natural make-up while revealing a huge baby bump.

With a bright blue coat and brown flats, Russell covered up her figure in a black and white striped T-shirt paired with skinny jeans, Daily Mail reported. Watch a clip of the actress's recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" here:
