"Assassin's Creed VR Experience" is the name of the upcoming movie based on the famous game title that Ubisoft cannot wait to roll out. The gaming company announced during GDC that the virtual reality version is still in development and will be released alongside the movie.

Ubisoft is bringing the action to your living rooms with "Assassin's Creed VR Experience," billed to be released alongside its movie adaptation. The company has long been looking for its options to get an entry into the VR world, and this just served as the perfect opportunity, Wired reported.

Ubisoft also confirmed the news in a twitter post which said: "Assassin's Creed VR experience -- based on the film -- is coming this year from Fox & Practical Magic." The twitter feed also hints at the correlation with Michael Fassbender Movie, while it also cleared out that Fox is going to be the official distributor.

As to Practical Magic, it is a company that Ubisoft employing to get its film done in studio grade VR filmmaking. The gaming company is trying to get hold of creative control which is evident by the fact that it has opened its own production company.

The magazine reported via Polygon, that Magic president Matthew Lewis unveiled to the audience at GDC that the "Assassin's Creed VR Experience" was filmed in UK, Malta, and Spain. The shooting of VR Experience was carried out on location alongside the movie.

According to the magazine, the "VR Experience" is going to be an aesthetic drive, filled with futuristic scenarios and storyline. Animus, a device that would enable the characters to peek into the memories of their ancestors, is going to be much more thrilling through the eyes of VR lenses.

The game characters, namely Callum Lynch and his 15th-century antecedent, Aguilar, would be played by Fassbender. "Assassin's Creed" unleashes in cinemas on Dec. 21. 

The following video of "Assassin's Creed" gameplay can be used as an inspiration to glimpse at how it would feel in virtual reality version, but users must have Google Cardboard or other VR headsets to get the real VR Experience.
