Here is the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow release news for Samsung Galaxy S5, Note Edge, Note 4, Tab S2, Alpha, Sony Xperia Z2, Z3, Z4 and Z5.

According to several reports, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update soon. However, there is no information on when the device will get the update. Reports suggest that T-Mobile is getting the Marshmallow update, and if it is getting it, then the other carriers will follow suit.

Some reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will get the update in March or April.

Also, the mobile carrier T-Mobile has confirmed that it will be getting Android 6.0 M on the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. According to some reports, it will get the upgrade sometime in March and April.

The Galaxy Tab S2 (the 9.7-inch and 8-inch models) will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update after April. The Galaxy Alpha will receive the update in June.   

Meanwhile, several reports claim that the tech giant Sony has rolled out the Android 6.0 M update to only its Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium devices. However, the update was supposed to go to not only to Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium devices, but also to the Xperia Z3+ and Z4 Tablet.

Devices such as Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4 are due to get the latest Marshmallow update.  

As for the Xperia Z2, Z3 Compact and Z3 devices, a new Marshmallow beta will get a pre-release version of Android 6.0.1. Only users of aforementioned devices in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy were eligible for the beta program, according to Xperia Blog.

Meanwhile, Sony has announced the Xperia X Performance smartphone. According to a report from The Verge, the smartphone will have a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The device will come with Android M right out of the box.

In addition, the Xperia X Performance will have 32 GB of internal storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. It will have a 13 megapixel secondary camera and a 23 megapixel primary camera.
