-There are rumors that Season 2 will kick off with a far different storyline, and it will revolve around the rivalry between Saitama and new villain Amai Sweet Mask. If you are following One's Webcomic series and even Yusuke Murata's manga, there hasn't been any actual confrontation between Saitama and Amai Sweet Mask, yet.

Yes, I just said yet because we all know these two heroes will eventually clash down the road, especially now that Saitama is already classified as a Class-A hero and Amai Sweet Mask would never allow weaklings to get past him.

Again, if Season 2 will start off with Saitama vs. Amai Sweet Mask showdown, then the series is definitely heading to a different direction.

-One Punch Man captured the title as the Best Manga series at Sugoi Japan 2016 award. Yusuke Murata and the original web comic creator attended the award ceremony this week.

The Sugoi Japan 2016 Awards gives awards to manga, anime and light novel series that gained the most votes through online voting. Aside from One Punch Man, 'Your Lie in April' also won an award for best anime series while 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?' won the light novel category.

-Blast has officially been unveiled! Ranked as the no.1 hero in the association, Blast surprisingly shares similarities with One-Punch protagonist Saitama. For this reason, there are speculations that the title Blast is mainly a place-holder for the strongest hero in the association, a tribute to the man that saved the founders' grandchild three years ago (who happens to be Saitama).
