New details for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will feature a new trailer for "Survival Mode" and the whole "Metal Gear Solid" series available in the PlayStation Store.
Konami revealed a new gameplay trailer for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" that gives gamers a glimpse of the upcoming "Survival Mode" for "Metal Gear Online". "Survival Mode" will consist of six players for each team competing against one another in a five match win streak and Konami added that gamers are given ten chances a week to play the game mode, however, if they have downloaded the "Cloaked in Silence" DLC, they will have a chance to play it continuously, Gamespot reported.
The new trailer for "Survival Mode" will gamers preparing themselves for battle in "Metal Gear Online" as they create a setting within the mode, following a set of rules which they can agree upon to. Konami posted several stats regarding the CQC (Close Quarters Combat) and "Setting Action and Throwing Action".
These include speed of restraining someone with CQC and escaping a CQC restrain. Each of these skills has a particular point set for the classes Scout, Enforcer and Infiltrator. "Survival mode" will be available next week in "Metal Gear Online".
Konami recently launched the "Cloak in Silence" DLC as it features Quiet as playable characters, three new maps such as the Coral Complex, Rust Palace and Azure Mountain. There is also a new gameplay content called "Appeal Action" that allow gamers to strike unique poses for their character and new free mission called "Sabotage" for "Metal Gear Online.
The Sabotage mission will let gamers destroy or fulton an enemy missile before the round time expires. To access the missile players must hack into the terminals in order to deactivate the Electromagnetic barrier and once the hack is done, gamers can choose either to reactivate the barrier or protect the missile.
In other news, the PlayStation Store has offered discounts on all available "Metal Gear Solid" games for PS4, PS3, PSP and PS Vita consoles, VG 24/7 reported.
These include "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Ultimate Edition", "Metal Gear Solid (PSOne Classic)", "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty", "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater", "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots", "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection", "Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker HD Edition", "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Metal Gear Solid VR Missions (PSOne Classic)" for the PS3.
The "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty", "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater – HD Edition and "Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection" for the PS Vita. "Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker", "Metal Gear Solid PSP Bundle" Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops" and "Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus" for the PSP.
Finally, "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" and "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" for the PS4.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One,PS3, Xbox 360 and for the PC platform.
