Like Microsoft's HoloLens, Google Cardboard Plastic is an AR device, but not as in "augmented reality," it is even better, it is "the world first actual reality headset." The new AR headset is Google's way of saying "April Fool!"

Google Cardboard Plastic arrives just in time on the first of April to greet the "April Fool" celebrations. Yesterday, the tech giant uploaded a new video on its official YouTube channel, showing the perks of having an actual reality headset.

"The things that make virtual reality compelling has been around us for tens of hundreds of thousands of years. At its core, it is about story telling. Everything along the way is a step towards trying to get more immersed in the experience, more immersed in the story. But, you know we are still putting something between you and the world," opening lines of the new Cardboard video try to trick the first time audience with inspirational dialogues.

"What we really want to do was to make something feel real. And so this is the first headset for actual reality," the background narration goes on adding to the suspense before finally revealing the joke. Next, the scene opens up to a tennis court from the perspective of a player holding a racket and a ball and when he is shown serving the game from a third-person's view, wearing a Google Cardboard Plastic headset, that's when most people get the smile on their faces.

True to every word, it is, in fact, an actual reality headset with a lightweight waterproof body, a fully immersive experience that works with all types of apps. More, it has 20/20 resolution with an incredible 360° audio. The see-through cardboard plastic really opens the doors to a highly immersive actual reality experience.

So Google Cardboard Plastic is a fine way to welcome April, but Google has gone as far as actually dedicating an entire page on the technology, featuring six differently colored plastic actual reality viewers.

This is the original video uploaded on Google's official YouTube channel that introduces Google Cardboard Plastic: the world's first actual reality headset that will never be.
