Due to the positive reaction towards the "Rock Band 4," Harmonix launched a crowd funding campaign in order to fund the development of "Rock Band 4" PC. Unfortunately, the campaign has since ended and the goal fund for the title was not met.

Independent game development company, Harmonix, launched the fourth version of their popular hit game "Rock Band" in October 2015. "Rock Band 4," which ran on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, has since received positive reviews from critics and gamers alike.

In March 2, 2016, Harmonix created a crowd funding page for "Rock Band 4" PC on Fig - a popular crowd funding platform for videogames. Harmonix set the goal at a hefty $1.5 million. According to the crowd funding page, Harmonix intends to match the $1.5 million with $500,000.

"As an indie studio, we at Harmonix must seek funding for projects. Typically this involves traditional publishers and all of the positives and negatives that entails. However with crowdfunding now a popular and influential alternative to publisher deals, we've chosen Fig to crowdfund the development of Rock Band 4 on PC," reads a part of the Rock Band 4 for PC Fig page.

The deadline for the crowd funding initiative has passed, and unfortunately, "Rock Band 4" for PC is not going to happen. The Fig funding page only brought in $792,817 from 1,674 backers in a little over a month. According to Polygon, this amount only accounts for 52.85 percent of the $1.5 million goal of Harmonix. Harmonix has yet to comment on the failure of their funding campaign.
