Here is the Android 6.0 and 6.0.1 Marshmallow release news for Moto X (2014), Moto X Play, Moto G (2014), Moto X Style, Moto G (2013), Moto G (2014) LTE and Moto G (2015).

Motorola's David Schuster has announced that the Moto X Pure Edition and Moto X (2014) are starting to see Android 6.0 Marshmallow rolled out. Users of Moto X Pure Edition in India and Brazil and users of Moto X (2014) in Brazil are the first to get the Android 6.0 update. The update will be rolled out globally gradually over the coming weeks.

Users of Moto X Play in Brazil had reported starting to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Also, several owners in India are starting to see the Android Marshmallow update arrive on their handsets.

Other devices that are confirmed to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update include the Moto G (2014) LTE, Moto G (2014) and Moto X Style. The Moto E (2015) will also get the update but only in selected regions. 

The device will not have Android 6.0 M update available in the United States, but will be coming on Snapdragon 410 powered versions in Asia (excluding China), Latin America, Europe and Canada.

Unfortunately, devices such as Moto G (2013) LTE,  Moto G (2013) and  Moto X (2013) will not get the Android 6.0 upgrade. According to Motorola's blog post, devices such as Nexus 6, Moto Turbo, Droid Turbo and Moto MAXX will get the newest update.

The electronics company Motorola has not disclosed the exact timing for rollouts. The company promised to work fast to roll out updates till it was sure that they are ready.

After the official release of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in the United States, Canada and India on Moto G (third generation), US carriers are expected to roll out the update. According to reports, Sprint and AT&T are rolling the software on the device by this quarter.

Reports suggest that AT&T and Sprint will roll out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on their Moto G third generation units in April.

Unlocked versions of Moto G (2015) were updated in January this year. Also, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update has already rolled out to users of Moto X Play across India and Canada.
