"GTA 6" may not only go back in time but also take place in Bogota or Las Vegas. However, Rockstar is still tight-lipped when it comes to the setting of the next installment in the "GTA" franchise.

Some analysts believe that there is a high chance that "GTA 6" will go back in time, although it is not clear how far back, according to Neurogadget. Since the game is currently under development, it should not be long before developers at Rockstar unveil some information to the public concerning the upcoming installment.

Recently, there have been some rumors about the completion of the map-building stage for the next "GTA" title. Furthermore, there are speculations regarding a job position posted by Rockstar North soliciting for a mission or technical scripter. For this reason, it can be assumed that developers are in the process of revealing details for the new game.

While Rockstar has remained skeptical on releasing "GTA 6," it seems that the development of the game is progressing. Fans should only wait for about 3 years based on the schedule for releasing the next installment.

However, there is scanty information when it comes to a certain location for the story play. Rumors have it that "GTA 6" definitely will not take place oversea, but many fans assume that the game developers are eyeing between Bogota and Las Vegas.

Another fascinating rumor about the possibilities for the upcoming GTA game concerns "GTA 6" being available for VR on most platforms, including PS4 and PC, except for Xbox One. Therefore, Rockstar is trying hard to keep up with the latest technology when it comes to its next game.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the upcoming installment will feature a female character, voiced by Hollywood actress Eva Mendes. Although Rockstar had initially indicated that it would be unlikely to add a female personality, Rockstar President Leslie Benzie unveiled via Develop that the company has put in a fair amount of ideas.

During the interview with the publication, Benzie said, "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas."

Apart from the virtual reality aspect, "GTA 6" may in fact include more weapons and increase number of missions, which depend on the sky as opposed to land, since players appear to have taken a liking to the flight aspects of "GTA."
