Robert Downey Jr. recently teased that Iron Man will be in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which is the official title for the "Spider-Man" reboot. His revelation came after Sony Pictures revealed a clip from the movie that featured Tony Stark and Peter Parker.

Downey dropped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday to promote "Captain America: Civil War." He also briefly discussed "Spider-Man: Homecoming," when show host Jimmy Kimmel asked if Iron Man will be in the movie.

The actor neither confirmed nor denied if the Avenger will be in the reboot. Instead, Downey said perhaps Iron Man will be there and that it all depends on Marvel. He said he is still waiting for a go signal from the studios.

"Perhaps I will, we don't have a contract yet," Downey told Kimmel in the video below.

According to Heroic Hollywood, the actor's statement clearly indicated that there have been discussions already for him to appear in the movie. However, an official announcement from Marvel is needed to confirm if Iron Man will indeed appear in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

So far only Tom Holland, Marissa Tomei and Zendaya have been confirmed to appear in the "Spider-Man" reboot. Tomei plays Aunt May and Holland as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. Zendaya's role have yet to be revealed.

Holland made his first appearance as Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War." So he had the chance to work closely with Downey. He also clearly made a good impression on the Iron Man star. Downey told Kimmel in the video below that Holland was fantastic as Spider-Man.

Downey's interview with Kimmel came after Holland presented "Spider-Man: Homecoming" at CinemaCon. Sony Pictures Chairman Tom Rothman joined the 19-year-old British actor on stage, where they also unveiled the film's official logo. Holland shared a photo taken at the event on his Instagram.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, an exclusive clip for the reboot was also revealed at the event. The video showed Tony Stark visiting Peter Parker at his Aunt May’s house. The publication did not provide any other details about the video. However, this only confirmed that Downey appears in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
