"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Scrapp DeLeon has been recently arrested for drug trafficking. A new report revealed that the "LHHATL" star may end up spending years in prison. Rather than being worried that his arrest may affect the show, insiders believe that TLC was actually hoping that this new drama surrounding DeLeon and his girlfriend Tommie will help boost the series' ratings.

According to Gossip On This, DeLeon was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty of trafficking marijuana in Georgia in January. The "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star, however, only needed to spend five years in prison, with the rest of his sentence on probation.

Inquisitr speculated that DeLeon will no longer be returning to "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 6 following his recent conviction and sentencing. The fate of his girlfriend Tommie has yet to be determined. Reports, however, insisted that it will not be long before DeLeon and Tommie get booted out of the VH1 series.

The outlet reported that DeLeon and Tommie, whose real name is Atasha Jefferson, met through his mom KK. The duo also allegedly had a lengthy criminal history together. DeLeon's girlfriend used to work for KK and her main gig was to "steal identities." Tommie reportedly had over 30 mugshots and is wanted in Minnesota for identity theft. The outlet speculated that it is only a matter of time before Tommie gets arrested and end up in prison, with DeLeon.

While it is not surprising for producers to cast reality stars who will be bringing drama to the show, the outlet pointed out that this is a real new low for "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta." With DeLeon in prison and Tommie possibly getting arrested any day now, things may start to get a little messy moving forward.

"With the VH1 hit most recently airing Episode 2 of the newest season, if Tommie or anyone else in that little love triangle really does have outstanding warrants, their new TV debut will probably lead to an arrest," the outlet pointed out.

"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5 airs Mondays on VH1. Watch the promo for next episode below:
