"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 could see Caroline (Candice Accola-King) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) getting back together.
In episode 21 entitled, "Requiem of a Dream," Stefan will come to Caroline's rescue after he finds out that her life is at risk.
Stefan's decision to help Caroline will result in the two characters talking about their failed relationship.
In the past, Caroline got pregnant with Alaric's (Matt Davis) twins, and she also decided to live far away from Mystic Falls.
At that time, Stefan decided to get back together with his ex-girlfriend Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore). However, their relationship didn't last either.
Meanwhile, there are some rumors that Caroline and Stefan's upcoming reunion could spark old flames.
Unfortunately, it seems that the fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are already tired of seeing Steroline trying to make their relationship work.
On TV Line, some fans urged the producers and writers of the show to rethink their decision of reuniting the two characters.

One fan @Kayla said that it would be best for Caroline to just move on and not get back together with either Stefan or Alaric.
"Hope Caroline leaves both of them at the end of the season. They don't deserve her. Hoping we get some Klaroline next season!"
@Brandl seconded, "I'm with you. Neither one of them work for her. I don't even like Klaus, but you gotta admit, they have chemistry."
More and more fans are also saying that Caroline and Klaus should just end up together.
@Beth wrote, "I have my fingers crossed that Caroline will leave Alaric and the twins. This storyline has been so disgusting. I also hope that Caroline and Stefan go back to being just friends. They were great friends but terrible in a romantic relationship. I hope she gets to be single and enjoy life - and then show up at Klaus' door when she is ready!"
