Supergiant Games, makers of "Bastion" and "Transistor," has revealed "Pyre" as their new video game title in development. The new game will be launched in 2017, and it will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC.

This new game is the third title developed by the game studio, and they hope that it will be as successful as its predecessors. The game studio's creative director Greg Kasavin said in a post from PlayStation's official blog that the game will be brought to PAX East 2016 on April 22 to 24. He added that interested players can try out the game in their booth, which is #8212, and they want feedback from the testers.

The game is a party-based RPG where players will take on the role of the protagonist who almost died, when several masked wanderers find and save him from death. With the leadership of the players' character, they want to find out about the Rites, an ancient competition that can get them home if they win.

The wandering band will journey across the Downside, a vast and mystical purgatory, in their custom black wagon. They will meet different characters that will have different shapes and sizes, and learn information about the competition they are going to join in. Players will have to choose who will return home, and who will remain in exile for the rest of their lives.

The development team promised that the game will have a great presentation of its world, and have interesting storytelling. The gameplay will be fast and action-packed with expressive decision making to make it more immersive. The game studio also revealed that they wanted to create a large cast of characters that players can grow close to, as they travel together the game's world.

According to Venturebeat, this new game will be the studio's second title launched on the PlayStation 4 before the Xbox One, and this also shows that the Sony Interactive Entertainment is doing its best to keep the indie studios supporting their home console. The recent launches from the small indie studios have kept Sony's consoles full of games that are popular with many gamers.
