JYP trainee Jeon Somi triumphed in "Produce 101" and became the center of I.O.I girl group.
Being the center, she has the responsibility to make the group look good in performances. She also has to make sure that she does not commit mistakes as it will be noticeable and may affect other members' focus.

Her name is hard to pronounce - Jeon Somi's real name is Ennik Somi Douma. Her mother is Korean, while her father is Canadian. Jeon is the surname of her mother, Jeon SunHee. Her father Matthew and younger sister Evelyn appeared in an episode of reality program "Sixteen".

She almost made in in Twice - Speaking of "Sixteen," Somi was eventually dropped at the last episode of the survival program and did not made it in the final line-up of "Twice," JYP Entertainment's newest girl group. In his appearance in Weekly Idol, JYP explained why Somi did not make it in the final cut. He compared Somi to an unripe kimchi. Kimchi, when aged well, is delicious.
She was bullied - In an episode of "Sixteen," she revealed that she was bullied in school. Although the severity of bullying is unknown, she said that she received nasty remarks like being a "mutt" or having a mixed race.
She was never shy to the camera - Jeon Somi is apt to be the center of I.O.I since she is never shy in front of the camera. She is close to Son Chaeyoung - It was seen in "Sixteen" and photos proved that Somi and Chaeyoung are soul sisters. Chaeyoung also excitedly cheered for Somi when the latter announced that she will join "Produce 101". I.O.I and Twice are expected to meet in music programs for their debut and comeback, respectively.
