MacBook Air and 12-inch MacBook lineup has been refreshed by the tech giant Apple. Rumors are also doing the rounds that the MacBook Air 2016 will be released in June.

The 12-inch MacBook was released in 2015. The software company has now unveiled an upgraded version of the MacBook that features a 1866 MHz RAM and is powered by the 6th generation Intel Core M processor.

The Intel HD 515 graphics is 25% efficient than the GPU of the previous model. Furthermore, the 12-inch MacBook 2016 is available in rose gold.

The device can deliver 11 hours of iTunes video playback and 10 hours of web browsing.

The MacBook that sports 256 GB SSD, 8 GB of RAM and Intel Core M3 1.1 GHz dual-core processor costs around $1299. The other variant that sports 512 GB SSD, 8 GB of RAM and Intel Core M5 1.2 GHz dual-core processor costs around $1599, The Verge reported.

According to the press release, the 13-inch MacBook Air comes with 8GB RAM standard. When the MacBook Air was released in 2015, it came with 4 GB of RAM on all the models. People can purchase the 8 GB model from the Apple Store. The 11-inch MacBook Air model will offer 4 GB RAM as standard.

Meanwhile, speculations are doing the rounds that the 12-inch MacBook will replace the MacBook Air.

However, earlier reports suggested that the new MacBook Air will be released in June. MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be available in two sizes - the 13-inch and 11-inch. But some reports claim that 15-inch MacBook Air will be released.

Rumor has it that the upcoming MacBook Air will have a Retina display and will be powered by the newest Intel Skylake processors. It is expected that the device will run with the newest OS X El Capitan.

Several reports also suggest that the new MacBook Pro will be launched in June 2016. The upcoming laptop will be powered by new Skylake processors and will have a Thunderbolt 3 port and a USB Type-C port.

However, Apple has not made any official announcement regarding the two devices.
