It is speculated that the MacBook Pro 2016 launch is imminent, as the old models are selling at hugely discounted prices starting at $874.

Best Buy is offering the the non-retina model of MacBook Pro, which has 500 GB Hard Drive and 4 GB of RAM for just $875. Its original price is $1,100, hence it is currently being sold at a huge discount of $225. On the other hand, the retina display model of MacBook Pro is being sold at just $1075. It has 128 GB of Flash storage and 8 GB RAM.

Meanwhile, the new 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to be launched in June. It will most likely be launched at the World Wide Developers Conference. This device may be released in two variants, a 13-inch one and a 15-inch one.

The 13-inch variant will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM, while the 15-inch variant will be equipped with a bigger amount of RAM, which is most likely expected to be around 16 GB. Both of these laptops are expected to sport a similar design to that of the MacBook Pro 2015, with very few minor changes here and there.

On the other hand, as far as the speculations about this gadget are concerned, the new models are most likely to feature the Skylake processors, according to BGR. These processors will be the new sixth generation chip set from Intel and none of Apple's MacBook's offer the Skylake processors, till now.

 Hence, with the incorporation of these high end processors in the upcoming laptops, users can expect significant performance gains and a much faster machine. Additionally, the main competitors of Apple such as HP, Dell and Microsoft have already moved to Skylake. Hence, the inclusion of these processors is imminent.

The upcoming models of MacBook Pro 2016 will also be much thinner, and less prone to getting heated up. These models will also be equipped with the Retina display along with Force Touchpad Trackpad, a dual band a/c Wi-Fi, and a PCIe flash storage, according to Mac World.

These variants will also be equipped with Thunderbolt 3 port for faster charging of the device. The price range of the two models is yet to be disclosed, but is expected to be similar to the introduction price of MacBook Pro 2015 line.
