Fans have been clamoring for the release date of "Tekken 7" since its announcement for PS4 and Xbox One. However, the game publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment announced over the weekend that fans will have to wait a little bit longer.

Producer Katsuhiro Harada explained that the release date of "Tekken 7" has been put on hold since it is in development hell on the grounds. Furthermore, given that many people are currently playing "Street Fighter V," the developer has considered expedient to wait for a better chance to release the much-awaited "Tekken X Street Fighter."

In an interview with GameSpot, Harada said, "When we develop fighting games, we try to keep the core community in mind as well as the wider audience that wants to play these games. But currently the situation is with fighting games, you have Street Fighter V that just released - a lot of people are playing that fervently - and there's a large crowd out there waiting or Tekken 7."

The game producer added that the company does not wish to split the gaming communities. The game is on hold for a moment since a good window for its release is something that is increasingly becoming difficult lately.

As a result, Bandai Namco will not give any important update on the release date of "Tekken 7" during the upcoming PSX, according to Pulse Headlines. The gaming event is supposed to bring together thousands of fans to receive the latest news about the gaming world.

"Tekken 7," developed by Bandai Namco in partnership with Capcom, was first announced in 2010 at the San Diego Comic-Con International. In October 2015 during the Paris Games Week, game publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that "Tekken 7" will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, with PlayStation virtual reality support.

Reports indicate that the crossover player game is being developed by the Tekken Team under the leadership of Harada in Bandai Namco. "Tekken X Street Fighter" or simply "Tekken 7" will feature 3D fighting game engine of the "Tekken" franchise.
