The user has to answer questions so his Mii learns more about him. The user personal information is transparent to friends. The virtual character's voice, gesticulations and quirkiness can even be manipulated, just like a more sophisticated Sims game.

Using Miitomo is easy and self-explanatory. It is free, fun and addicting, according to Bustle. To use Miitomo, one can download the app, create a character, establish some personality, answer questions, dress the character then play games.

In creating one's avatar, there are several options for its face and body. One can choose colors and spacing for the character, set its eyes farther apart, put freckles on its face, pick a tiny nose or thick lips. Users can likewise move things around.

It is in personality that the character's voice can be customized. There are various pronunciations, factors and inflections to best describe the user so the avatar really acts like him, such as being expressive and outgoing. When answering questions, users can earn points that they can use to buy clothing for their character and play games.

In dressing up the Mii, there are plenty of clothes to choose from, to make the avatar look similar to the person it represents. Furthermore, there will be a release of new costume items based on the popular paint-shooting Wii U game, Splatoon, Slash Gear reported.

From April 27 to May 29, users will be able to earn Splatoon items with hairstyles, shoes and t-shirts from the app's Miitomo Drop mini-game. The Miitomo Shop will also have various colored squid pins which can be traded with regular coins.
