In the Marvel comics, Lady Deadpool is the female version of Deadpool from another dimension and her real name is Wanda Wilson. Lady Deadpool has the same powers as the original Deadpool, as well as the same level of annoyance and insanity. She is a member of the Deadpool Corps. which consist of other versions of Wade Wilson from across the Marvel multiverse.

Thorne stated that she wanted to play a "bada**" character in a Marvel movie similar to her character Cora in "Ratchet & Clank" video game film and likes playing real and rebellious roles.

Unfortunately, "Deadpool" creator Rob Liefeld tweeted that the chances of having Lady Deadpool in the big screen are unlikely to happen anytime soon. So far, the only confirmed character joining "Deadpool 2" is the time travelling mutant Cable and there are rumors that the mutant mercenary and fellow "X-Force" teammate Domino will be added to the sequel.

Meanwhile, "Deadpool" director Tim Miller confirmed that a a crossover story with Spider-Man will not happen soon as he told ComicBookResources that the studios are "not ready for it", although producer Simon Kinberg was open with the idea. Both Miller and Kinberg have a good relationship with Marvel president Kevin Feige and hinted that one day they will have a "Godfather" style dinner to discuss a broker deal.

Marvel Studios currently has the rights for Spider-Man with the partnership of Sony as Peter Parker (Tom Holland) debut in "Captain America: Civil War" and will be starring in his new solo film on July 7, 2017.

"Deadpool 2" release date is speculated to be release in the early 2018 as Fox reserved the January 12 spot possibly placing the sequel there.
