Insiders reveal that "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will rekindle the spirit of the first film in the franchise, "The Curse of The Black Pearl."

While McCartney is more popularly known as a musician, his movie credits cannot be ignored, as he also starred in British comedy films "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!"

This is not the first time "Pirates of the Caribbean" added a legendary rocker to its crew. In the fourth film, "On Stranger Tides," the movie recruited Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards for the role of Captain Teague, Jack Sparrow's father. Johnny Depp revealed in a previous interview that a lot of the mannerism he incorporated into his character was inspired by Richards, making him the best fit to play Jack's daddy.

Furthermore, Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Javier Bardem will reprise their original roles. Orland Bloom is also returning as Will Turner. Young stars Brenton Thwaites ("The Giver") and Kaya Scodelario ("The Maze Runner") will play new characters.

Bloom stated in an interview that the fifth film will be a soft reboot of the whole movie franchise, with a story on Will Turner's relationship with his son.

Meanwhile, the shoot for "Dead Men Tell No Tales" was mired with controversy when Depp's wife, Amber Heard, got caught up in a legal drama after she allegedly smuggled her dogs into Australia without proper documentation. The actress was supposed to visit Depp, who was filming in the country, when the incident took place.

According to BBC News, the dog smuggling charges against Heard have been dropped after she admitted to falsifying her arrival card in Australia. Heard and Depp personally appeared before the Southport Magistrate Court in Queensland for the hearing.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells" will be in theatres on May 26, 2017.
