Photos taken during the filming of "Suicide Squad" featured Deadshot and Harley Quinn looking rather close with each other. The photos teased that the Joker may have a competition when it comes to winning over the psychiatrist's affections.

The "Suicide Squad" comics already established that Harley Quinn and the Joker are romantically involved with each other. Previous reports claimed this relationship also played out in the movie. However, based on the images from the film that have circulated online, it seemed Deadshot also has his eyes set on the Joker's love interest.

One photo from the Los Angeles Times showed Deadshot and Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie, staring at each other. The latter seemed to be in good spirits as she smiled seductively at the man beside her.

Another photo revealed the pair getting steamy with each other. The image showed Deadshot carrying a smiling Harley Quinn in his arms, as seen in the video below.

Apparently, the movie adaptation of DC's "Suicide Squad" will have a twist to Harley Quinn and the Joker's love story. Deadshot will be involved in a love triangle with the lovebirds.

Will Smith, who played Deadshot, revealed in an interview that his character gets entangled in a messy romantic situation with Harley Quinn. The actor teased that it is Harley Quinn who starts to flirt with Deadshot first, when he described the character as the "biggest troublemaker." Her advances eventually pushed Deadshot to start "eyeballing her a little bit," according to Comicbook Resources. Their chemistry eventually led to what Smith called as a very "ragged romantic triangle."

"Suicide Squad" director David Ayer also chimed in and explained why Harley Quinn allows Deadshot to come in between her and the Joker's relationship. He said that the latter is just enjoying her independence away from the villain. She is on a journey to discover herself and is simply enjoying being free of the Joker, played by Jared Leto.

In reality and off-screen, Robbie thinks of Smith as a romantic. She admitted this during her interview with the actor about their past movie together called "Focus." She also called Smith a thoughtful person in their video interview below.
