Genoa is right in the middle of the overall standings, at the 10th spot as of the moment, and is comfortable safe from relegation to the Serie B next season as the team is 11 points above the bottom three relegation area.

However, they are also 10 points below the final Europa League spot presently held by sixth-placed team AC Milan, which means they are just set to remain competing in the Italian top flight next season.

In their most recent match, Il Grifone dropped a 0-2 game to lowly team Bologna last Sunday at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, as per Forza Italian Football.

Bologna forwards Emanuele Giaccherini and Sergio Floccari netted one goal apiece for the Greyhounds, at the 11th and 63rd minutes respectively, to hand manager Gian Piero Gasperini's boys their third loss in their last six outings.

Meanwhile, Roma withstood current second-placed squad SSC Napoli and the comebacking Gonzalo Higuaín, this season's top goalscorer, with a 1-0 victory at their home field of Stadio Olimpico on Monday, as reported by Goal.

Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan scored the winning goal for head coach Luciano Spalletti's side one minute before the full time whistle to give Napoli their third loss in their last six matches and virtually hand Juventus FC its fifth straight Serie A title.

With the win, I Giallorossi pulled off a two-game winning run and tightened its grip on the third spot of the league table. Only the top three teams at the end of the season will advance in the Champions League next year and the Wolves are currently occupying that last spot.

Fourth-placed Inter Milan is seven points behind La Maggica with three matchdays left.

The predicted result is a 3-0 rout for Roma.
