Middling squad FC Ingolstadt 04 (10-12-10, 40 points) will try to end their 2015-2016 Bundesliga season on a positive note as the team is currently on a winless streak. However, they will next host three straight German top flight champions FC Bayern Munich (26-2-4, 82 points) at the Audi Sportpark this Saturday, May 7th to likely derail their plans moving forward.

Ingolstadt is on a three-game winless slide as they had only won twice in their last six outings, enough for them to settle at the ninth spot of the current league table.

Head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl's team is safe from demotion as they are presently seven points above the bottom three relegation zone. However, it is also a long shot for the team to gain a Europa League berth for next season as they are six points behind seventh-placed Mainz, who holds the last spot for the said club continental tournament.

Die Schanzer lost a close 1-2 decision to lowly team Hoffenheim last Saturday at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, as per ESPN.

German midfielder Stefan Lex was able to open the scoring at the 17th minute, but they were held by their hosts to only one goal for the rest of the match while Hoffenheim netted two afterwards.

Forward Mark Uth and midfielder Nadiem Amiri scored one goal apiece at the 37th and 84th minutes respectively to hand the visitors their second loss in three games.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich was held to a 1-1 draw by contending squad Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena also last Saturday, via BBC Sport.

Team leader Thomas Müller scored the first goal at the sixth minute for the Bavarians while Monchengladbach midfielder Andre Hahn equalized the game at the 72nd.

The tie kept Der FCB from claiming their fourth straight Bundesliga title as they are only five points ahead of second-placed squad Borussia Dortmund with two games left in their current campaign. One more win will snatch them this season's Meisterschale, though.

The predicted result is a 3-0 rout for Bayern Munich.
