The latest details for "Legends of Tomorrow" will feature new plans for season 2 and new DC characters possibly joining the show.

"Legends of Tomorrow" script writer and producer Phil Klemmer revealed several details and plans for an upcoming season2 of the show as he explains that the new season will pick up where season 1 left off after the final episode of the show. Klimmer told IGN that "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will feature "new" good guys, bad guys, stakes, dynamics and goals. Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) team will simply have a new purpose after they saved the world from Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

Season 1 of the show was solely focused on stopping Vandal Savage from taking over the world by travelling through time on certain events in history such as the Cold War, Wild West and in the dystopian future ruled by him. Klemmer added Carter Hall/Hawkman's (Falk Hentschel) return to the show as he is a completely different person after events of the last episode "Leviathan" and would like complicate the relationships of Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh).

Events from "Arrow" season 4 will come into play in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as Klemmer cited Laurel Lance/Black Canary's (Katie Cassidy) death and it will deeply affect Sara Lance/White Canary's (Caity Lotz) resolve in the show.

In other news, several DC characters are rumored to join "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.

Klimmer teased new "good guys" within the show and two DC heroes are heavily rumored to be in the show such as Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan).

Other fans suggested that characters like Elongated Man, Zatanna, Shazam, Green Lantern and Booster Gold should be included for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2, ComicBookResources reported.

Previous reported revealed that "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams will be added to the show and his role is described as "fun character the fans will love." and no further details have been explained. Another reason for the added characters is that the season 1 finale might reveal a potential death of character in order to stop Vandal Savage from taking over the world.

"Legends of Tomorrow" will return on Thursday 8PM on the CW Network.
