Former EXO member Luhan is on the headlines again after it was reported that he illegally worked in Taiwan. Based on the reports, the Chinese hearthrob could be prohibited from entering the said country if the accusation against him will not be fixed.

On May 2, Luhan flew to Taipei to complete an episode shooting for the Chinese adaptation of the variety show "Back to School." However, while filming, the local immigration bureau discovered that the "That Good Good" singer only had a tourist visa, which means he is not allowed to work in the region.

Everyone who wants to work in Taiwan needed to secure the work type visa. Thus, with just a travel visa, it would be illegal for Luhan to shoot. With the violation, he could be slapped with up to five years of visa ban, Allkpop reported.

The Taiwanese immigration also stated that Luhan's work as a celebrity is definitely unlawful since he entered the country with a tourist visa. Moreover, the bureau is giving the production team some time to explain themselves but reiterated that the office will take action based on the results of investigation.

According to Taiwan's ET today, the producers of "Back to School" already issued its official statement on May 3. They wanted to make it clear that the problem happened because of a mistake by the staff . "Our lack of experience caused a lack of preparation, we will take care of the artist and end the recording safely," part of the statement read.

In addition, the staff clarified that although the media made it looks like that Luhan was the only one who encountered a visa problem and facing the possibility of being banned in Taiwan, the truth is that other cast members had an issue as well including Zhang Danfeng, Qian Xue and Zhang Huiwen.

Meanwhile, the producers of "Back to School" and the Immigration Agency of Taiwan are currently in discussion to determine whether Luhan and the others could stay and finish the filming until May 10 or they would be immediately sent back to China.
