Actor Rain and f(x)'s Victoria have been confirmed for the upcoming Chinese drama with a working title of "Endless August."

The upcoming drama adapts Anni Baobei's first novel and essay collection of the same name, which tells the tale of individuals looking for the meaning of life and is aching for love, whether that of parents or romantic love. It is said that Rain and Victoria are up to play the lead characters of Qiao and Wei Wang, respectively.

It has been learned that the duo is already prepping for the drama's filming, which will commence in mid-June, Soompi reported. According to the publication, the filming will take place in Shanghai, Suzhou, China, and Montreal, Canada.

The drama's exact airing date, additional cast members, and the channel on which it will be telecast are still under discourse. It marks the first time that Rain and Victoria have collaborated to produce a mellow drama series.

The 33-year-old actor last project in Korea was the recently concluded comedy-melodrama "Please Come Back, Mister," where he played as Lee Hae Joon, whose body is possessed by the soul of Kim Young Soo (Kim In-Kwon). Lee falls into a love triangle with Shin Da Hye (Lee Min Jung) and co-worker, played by Yoon Park.

While the 29-year-old idol has been given a role as the lead female part in Hunan TV's upcoming Chinese fantasy drama called "Ice Fantasy," which is set to be released at some point within the year. She also starred in "My New Sassy Girl" along with the South Korean actor Cha Tae Hyun, The Korea Times has learned.

"My New Sassy Girl" revolves around the romance and problems ensue after the on-screen characters tied the wedding knots regardless of the opposition of their families. It is a follow-up to the 2001's highest grossing Korean comedy, "My Sassy Girl."

The duo has been receiving constant love calls in mainland China. Rain and Victoria's respective portrayal on several mega-hit TV shows have helped them build up their respective image, leading to increased acting opportunities in the country.
