Bethesda has released "Fallout 4," and those who have been following the company closely, it appears as if they are shifting their focus to work on the next installment in "The Elder Scroll" franchise. There have been many rumors surrounding "The Elder Scrolls 6," but now it looks like Bethesda is actually starting to consider the development of the next title.

A recent job listing on the company's website indicates that Bethesda is now looking for a new character artist to work on its next generation project. The listing could mean anything especially after the game developer unveiled that they are working on multiple projects at the same time. However, they named "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" in the job listing, and since "Fallout 4" just came out, it is rational to believe that they are now working on "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Meanwhile, previous rumors had it that the game developer could release "The Elder Scrolls 6" during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, slated for June 14 to 16. However, these rumors may not come to fruition based on what the VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda Softworks Pete Hines said.

In an interview with DualShockers at the Gamescom 2015, Hines made it clear that "The Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2" will not happen anytime soon. The VP mentioned that he did not think fans were close to hearing about the next "Elder Scrolls" since the developers at Bethesda were working on "Fallout 4," something that takes the whole studio.

Since the developer company has a tradition of not splitting teams, fans may see updates on "The Elder Scrolls 6" by 2017. Besides working on "Fallout 4," the developer will release DLCs for the same game afterwards. Furthermore, the game developer releases a new "Elder Scrolls" after every 4 years, and it is possible that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will come out by 2019.

It is true that "Fallout 4" is out of picture and its last DLC is about to be released, but a release of "The Elder Scrolls 6" during the June E3 will be impossible. For now, avid fans should remain patient to get concrete information from Bethesda concerning the sixth installment in "The Elder Scrolls" franchise.
