Nexus devices will get Android N immediately upon its launch; however, the update is expected to roll out later to Huawei, HTC, Samsung, BlackBerry and LG devices.

The Google Nexus series were the very first devices for which the Android N developer preview was rolled out in March. Hence, it is expected that they would also be the first ones to receive Android N when it is launched in August or September.

The Shenzhen-based company Huawei is expected to release Android N for the Mate series in November, while Huawei P9 and Mate 8 are expected to get the upcoming operating system in December.

Similarly, LG will release the Android N update for the latest flagship models in December. LG devices, which are over three years old, are not expected to get the update due to hardware incompatibility issues. The HTC flagship device HTC One M9 is also on track to receive Android N by the end of 2016, while other older HTC models will get the update in early 2017.

The BlackBerry company has followed a very relaxed timeline of updating its devices to the latest operating system. Hence, the various BlackBerry devices will get the Android N update in early 2017. Samsung, on the other hand, will release its first Android N update for the Galaxy series by early 2017. This is because the company typically takes a lot of time to test each operating system update before rolling it out to its users.

The second beta version of the Android N developer preview will be released at the Google I/O Conference, which is going to be held in California from 18-20 May, according to Google Events. The near-final build will be released in July, followed by the last build with the final API's and the SDK's.

In other news, BlackBerry Priv has just received the Android Marshmallow beta update on the T-Mobile network, according to the network's support page. Other network carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular are also expected to release the update by the end of May.
