NASA, the United States space agency, has disclosed that it will be announcing the latest discoveries made by its planet-hunting Kepler Space Telescope later today. The announcement is, however, unlikely to feature the much-anticipated remarks of alien life.

According to Express, NASA's update has triggered various prospects from conspiracy theorists, who believe that NASA and various governments have been hiding the existence of aliens for years. The theorists have chosen to remain speechless anticipating that the revelations will come to pass.

Now that NASA is about to make some interstellar revelations, they are waiting to hear the mentioning of aliens. Nevertheless, according to Tech Radar, what is more likely to get alluded to is the highlight on a newly discovered planet beyond the solar system.

The exoplanet was discovered by the Kepler telescope and reports are indicating that there could be 1000 more. Further, Kepler has also spotted dips of up to 20 percent in luminosity of a distant star, which various theorists are claiming is an alien "megastructure" in the form of a big solar panel.

There is not conclusive rejoinder as to what actually caused the dips in brightness. Some astronomers believe that debris from a nearby group of comets is the most likely justification.

Scientists did not know how much common planets were before the launch of Kepler. But as far as now, and after the discoveries, they believe that there is at least one planet orbiting every star. This could mean that alien hunters have a likelihood of coming across alien life in future since the discovery of so many planets is greatly increasing the chances of alien life getting discovered in one of them.

Even though the universe is busier than humankind initially thought, the publication has imparted that an alien announcement is unlikely. Even so, in a news briefing statement, NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan pointed towards a possibility of finding indications of life beyond earth within a decade.

To add fuel to the fire, NASA also announced that it could come across evidence of alien life forms in the next 20 or 30 years. Be that as it may, the upcoming announcement is improbable of focusing on aliens.
