"The Seven Deadly Sins" will reportedly release very soon with its Season 2 in 2016. After the great response received from Season 1, the popular anime series' producers are set to launch all-new 24 episodes. However, the official announcement about the release date of the anime series is yet to be declared by the production house.
The release date was hinted to fans during the last episode of anime show "Arslan Senki," which aired on Sept. 26, 2015. Fans spotted a short advertisement that was broadcast in between the show, before the commercials. Later, Anime News Network confirmed the reports regarding the release date of "The Seven Deadly Sins."
Recently, there is a rumor doing the rounds among fans that manga writer Nakaba Suzuki is still not finished with the storyline of Season 2. Few chapters are still reported to be in the pipeline, which may delay the chances of an early release.
The first season showed only six characters from the original series. The upcoming season will show many new characters and antagonists like those from the Demon Clan and others in the form of Escanor.
According to Korea Portal, the new enemies from the Demon Clan will fight against Meliodas leading to his emergence into full power. The finale of the first season of "The Seven Deadly Sins" was aired in March 2015 and it ended with the victory of Meliodas and his group, over their enemies. It is reported that only in the upcoming season will Meliodas emerge fully victorious.
The new season of the animated series is believed to be fully packed with action sequences. The immortal character of Ban will go on a journey to resurrect his dead love. It will follow the footsteps of manga's characters as penned down by Suzuki in the series.
The upcoming season will also include three new story arcs having 100 characters each. A new set of enemies are also going to be introduced by the name of Ten Commandments. Escanor will be seen enhancing his powers to defeat the new set of enemies.
